
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is designed to train healthcare providers on better responding to critically ill infants and children. This course uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.
Course Format: The PALS course includes video and instructor-led content with a series of hands-on simulated pediatric emergencies to practice essential skills. The scenarios encourage active participation and are designed to reinforce important concepts. Upon completion of the course, students are tested with a skills evaluation and a written test. Successful candidates receive a PALS course completion card valid for two years.

- Use the Pediatric Assessment Triangle to quickly assess patient condition.
- Implement effective respiratory management strategies.
- Gain proficiency in rhythm disturbances and electrical therapy.
- Acquire skills in vascular access and fluid administration.
- Learn to manage and stabilize a child or infant in respiratory failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest.
- Enhance teamwork and communication skills among a multidisciplinary team to improve the quality of care.
